Hi there, my name is Sonja Luesing (b.1996). I graduated at St. Joost in Breda. As a Documentary photographer I have always been attracted to the formation of identity. How did someone become the way he or she is and what influence does that have on the character are questions that I answer with my work. Because of my upbringing in a multicultural environment, I feel involved with migrants, guest workers and refugees. People looking for their identity in a foreign country. With an observational eye I use photography to let people express how they see themselves. By entering the domain of my subject, I capture the everyday without disguising reality.
